Below are my weekly assignments of Design Communication since the start of the semester, arranged in order by drawing number and date.
DC/BIA/01 - Freehand Drawing
Yes, I drew an abstract art of a wolf because wolves are my spirit animal. Drawn with only vertical and horizontol lines that are freehand, which means i didn't use any rulers to help create the lines.
DC/BIA/02 - Architectural Lettering
A collage of various fonts of architectural lettering that will be used throughout my entire interior architecture design career. I am especially in favour of the font City Blueprint because of its uniqueness.
DC/BIA/03(a) - Understanding The Plan, Elevation & 3D Views Drawing (3D Blocks)
Getting the basic idea of the angles that are used in my profession, especially in architectural plans.
DC/BIA/03(b) -Multiview Orthographic Projection (Plan, Elevation X, Elevation Y & 3D View)
A further exercise on the previous drawing, but this time using an actual physical model, in this case is a cube-shaped N.
DC/BIA/04(a) - Layout Plan, Ground Floor Plan
My layout drawing of a house's ground floor.
DC/BIA/04(b) - Layout Plan, First Floor Plan
Same as before, but this time with the first floor plan.
DC/BIA/04(c) - Section X-X & Section Y-Y
A cross-sectional drawing of the house.
DC/BIA/04(d) - Right Elevation
Here we get a good insight of how the house looks like from the side. This drawing also indicates the height of the entire structure.
DC/BIA/05(a)- Constructing One Point Perspective Grid Lines
DC/BIA/05(b)- Constructing One Point Perspective Grid Lines with Objects
DC/BIA/05(c)- Constructing Two Point Perspective Grid Lines
DC/BIA/05(d)- Constructing Two Point Perspective Grid Lines with Objects
DC/BIA/06- Constructing The Oblique Drawing 60° - 30°
This drawing was hard to do because of its various lines and distorted angles, but finally, I still think it looks good no?
Model Making - Matcha Making
This is our very first 3D model, and we heartfully called it Matcha Villa. Match means green tea and it remind us of it for some reason lol. Made by Austin, Jia Min, Caylen, Kang Yee and I.
Facade Design - Chanel
Woo another model! This time a facade design of a brand that we had to pick. We chose Chanel due to their elegance and lavish designs. The size is equivalent to an A4 sized paper. Look at that miniature Chanel No.5! Made by Jia Min, Kang Yee and I again.
DC/BIA/07 - Test Drawing
