Intro to ID: Project 2(b) - Anthropometrics & Ergonomics -~ Observation Study (FINAL)

Continuation from the previous post, this time I had to shortlist 3 poses out of the 12 that can show how humans use their body for specific usage of the furniture. After choosing the 3 poses, I had to elaborate as in sketching out alternate poses on how I might use the furniture. It can be extreme or just a varied way of the human pose. Anyways, I also have to sketch the top view and side view of the pose with complete dimensions of the furniture that was featured in the photo. You had no idea how many times I had to leave my drawing table to measure the furniture with my trusty measuring tape.

The criteria of this assignment is that I need to have the photo in B&W and in 10cm by 10cm size, a plan view, side elevation view and the alternate poses.

First pose

The sketch is based on this image

Using this image and concept, I devised various ways that how I will sit normally in my chair when using my computer. Yes, I curl my legs like doing yoga when sitting on my chair, don't judge me. This sketch is also the one with the most dimensions as I measure everything that I could see.

The scale of the human used in this drawing is 1:20

Second pose

The sketch from the previous post

Me posing of choosing clothes. Bonus: A small sneak peek of my new room ;)

I didn't have much ideas of how I would interpret of how a normal human being would use a wardrobe, so I drew only two poses that I could think of, and look at the fella on the right. Sassy and fabulous!

The scale of the human used in this drawing is 1:25 because the cupboard is too tall to fit in the paper.

Third pose

Ms. Sharmila really liked this pose because it shows how humans will stretch their bodies and lean forward a little when attempting to grab something high.

Me shamelessly showcasing my new kitchen, that is still messy from the house moving.

Yes, I actually measured the angle of the cabinets. How? Its a secret, shhhhhhhhh....

The scale used for the human in this drawing is 1:20
