What I use is a shampoo bottle, since it is durable and provides adequate stiffness to support and iPhone.
For this assignment I have to create a series of instructional drawings, and drawings I shall provide!
Below is how you can make your very own iPhone holder with very little to no money at all.
The first thing you should do is prepare the materials. Get any empty shampoo bottles that are lying around in your house and a few art cutting materials.
1. My favourite tool that is essential for all designers is the blade cutter. Sharp, precise, elegant, what more could you ask for eh?
2. Start by peeling out those nasty branding and labelling from your bottle.
3. Next, mark the outline with a sharpie or pen as shown as below. The left bottle is the front, while the right is the back.
4. Cut out the shape as marked.
5. Next, we need to create an access point for the adapter to fit. Draw out the shape of your charger and cut it out.
6. Don't you hate it when you see your charging cable all bendy when you fit into a bottle? Cut a small access point large enough for the cable to pass through at the butt of the bottle. Haha butt :3
7. Now unleash your creativity to your heart's desire. Paint it into any style that you like, after all it is yours.
8. The final step is to enjoy your finished iPhone holder, and laugh at those whose smartphones are hanging from the ceiling.
The Final product proudly displayed in my bedroom. Excuse the dirty iPhone charger adapter, it is for my iPhone 4 hahahaha.
See you all in the next post :)
